Festival Essentials You Can’t Forget

The best way to make sure you don’t forget any festival essentials is to walk yourself through the process in your head. The most important things you don’t want to forget are everything you’ll need to at least get yourself into the festival, as well as everything you’ll need to have a good time once you’re in. Festival essentials include:

  • Ticket
  • Wallet & ID
  • Backpack/Hydration pack
  • Portable phone charger
  • Chapstick (unopened)
  • Gum (unopened)
  • Facemask
  • Light jacket
  • Wet wipes & tissues

Camping Essentials You Can’t Forget

When thinking about what to bring to a camping music festival you’ll need to start putting together items you’ll need in order to camp at the festival. Camping essentials include:

  • Camping pass
  • Tent (including all pieces – especially stakes & rain fly!)
  • Sleeping bags
  • Blankets (lots of them – it will get cold at night!)
  • Pillows
  • Air mattress with air pump
  • Flashlights
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Zip-ties
  • Malet

Camping Festival Nice-To-Haves

Although not essential, these few items are great to have at a camping festival if you are able to squeeze them along with your luggage. Some of these items are probably not ideal to bring If you’re traveling by plane. If you’re able to fit them in your car, they’re definitely worth bringing! And they’ll come in hand for other camping festivals in the future.

  • Canopy
  • Tapestries (great to hang on canopy for shade or to use as blankets to lay or sit on!)
  • Foldable chairs
  • LED lights and/or lamp
  • Propane stove
  • Hammock

Camping Festival Food Supplies

Whether you’re bringing perishable or non-perishable food items, these few items are a must! In my opinion and from my own experience, bring more than you think you’ll need when it comes to trash bags, cups, dishes, paper towels, etc. You might end up using more than you thought or your neighbors might need to borrow some! And if you have extra leftover, just hold onto them for next time!

  • Trash bags (Clean up after yourself and leave no trace behind!)
  • Cooler
  • Cups & dishes
  • Silverware
  • Paper towels
  • Dish soap
  • Ice
  • Water

Clothes To Pack For Camping Festival

Once you’ve got all your festival and camping essentials packed, it’s time to start packing your clothes and toiletries. Be mindful of the weather and check the forecast. And always bring extra layers – even if the forecast says high 80s and sunny!

  • Comfortable clothes
  • Comfortable shoes
  • Rave clothes & accessories (not sure what to wear? Shop rave accessories here!)
  • Warm jacket
  • Underwear
  • Socks (the more, the merrier!)
  • Warm clothes (It gets cold at night – bring lots of layers!)
  • Sunglasses
  • Earplugs (If music is going all day and night, music earplugs are a must!)

Camping Festival Toiletries

When putting together toiletries to bring, start by packing the items you use on an everyday basis. From there, think of items that you might need – even if you don’t use them every day. You’d be surprised how much things like wet wipes or floss might come in hand!

  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Hairbrush
  • Deodorant
  • Soap
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Wet wipes
  • Tissues & toilet paper
  • Floss
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray
  • Makeup & makeup wipes
  • Towels
  • Facewash
  • First-aid kit
  • Q-tips
  • Contact case & contact solution
  • Tampons & pads
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Hair scrunchies

Once the festival is over, be sure to clean up all of your belongings. Yes, that even means bottle caps and other small items that can easily be overlooked. It’s important to leave your campsite space exactly how you found it – if not better. Be respectful and clean up after yourself!

Conclusion

Although this list has the majority of the most common necessities and essentials for a camping festival, there is a good chance you’ll think of something you may need once it’s too late. But don’t worry! Go around to other campsites and ask your neighbors if they have whatever it is that you’re looking for! Most people are super friendly and don’t mind sharing.
